Reading through all these questions that we need to answer about our visit to a museum, I can simply answer them all with video art. This video art (I'm not too sure if that is what you call it) made such a huge impact on me. I have never seen nor heard of such type of artwork. I almost felt as if the art was coming alive before my very eyes. I think I enjoyed this art form more because I am more use to the video form of life, I guess. It's hard for me to stand in front of a painting and try to understand exactly what it was that the artist was trying to convey. But with this moving art it reached all four of my five senses. How cool!
I felt a connection with the video art. I think this is because it's the world I grew up in. My generation is all about graphics and technology. I found this type of art easier to understand, and more enjoyable than most other forms of art.
As I walked through the Albrigt Knox Museum, I did not expect to see live art (or I guess you would call it video art). I thought the videos of a ghost like dear walking through a forest was very interesting. Especially since you were able to hear what the dear hears, it was almost as if I was in the forest with the dear. I felt very moved and intrigued by this type of art. I would LOVE to know when more art such as this is available to attend. Perhaps a whole night dedicated to this unfamiliar art form would be very interesting!
Below are the pictures I took from the museum, ENJOY!
